Covid19 has strained many families financially. The need for assistance is so great. We are helping as many families as we can, but we need your support to help more.

Did you know that 50% of pets taken to a shelter are owner surrenders. This is the national average and individual cities can be more or less.

There are a number of reasons why owners surrender their pets to a shelter. Many of those reasons can be resolved with education and at times assistance with their pets. Keeping families and pets together will help reduce the number of pets in shelters, leaving room for pets that are truly homeless.

When pet retention is not possible, as in the death of an owner or when an owner must enter a care facility, CAARE will be the helping hand to help find a home for their pet.

As space and funding are available, CAARE will take these pets into foster care to help them adjust to the loss of their owner and help find them a ne
w family that will love and care for them.

No matter what your current situation may be, please make arrangements for the care of your pets in case something should happen to you. It's best to have something in writing to insure your wishes are known. Don't let your beloved pet be surrendered to a shelter.
